Our mission is to deliver superior STEM literacy and application, empowering students from preschool to high school with the skills needed to succeed in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields on a global scale.

Position Title:  Curriculum Developer Volunteer                                             
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: 6 hours a week

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Volunteer Curriculum Developer to join our team. As a Curriculum Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing comprehensive STEM curricula that are aligned with educational standards and tailored to meet the diverse needs of students. This role offers the opportunity to shape the educational journey of students and contribute to their long-term success in STEM disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
●	Collaborate with educators, subject matter experts, and instructional designers to develop STEM curricula that align with both STEM Canada’s goals and recognized educational standards.
●	Design and structure comprehensive curriculum frameworks that include learning objectives, content, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
●	Create engaging and interactive learning materials, including lesson plans, activities, and assessments, that are appropriate for different age groups and learning levels.
●	Ensure that the curriculum is inclusive and accessible, addressing the needs of students from diverse backgrounds and with varying learning styles.
●	Incorporate current research and best practices in STEM education to ensure that the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date.
●	Evaluate and revise existing curriculum materials to improve effectiveness and alignment with educational goals.
●	Pilot and test curriculum components, gathering feedback from educators and students to refine and enhance the content.
●	Document curriculum development processes and maintain detailed records for future reference and updates.
●	Stay informed about trends and innovations in STEM education and integrate new ideas and approaches into the curriculum.

Requirements:
●	Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or a related field, particularly within STEM education.
●	Strong understanding of educational theories, standards, and best practices in curriculum development and STEM education. 
●	Ability to create structured, coherent, and engaging curriculum that cater to diverse learning needs and environments.
●	Excellent research and analytical skills to ensure that curriculum content is accurate, relevant, and evidence-based.
●	Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with a virtual team.
●	Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
●	Commitment to professional development and staying current with trends in STEM education and curriculum design.
