STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

Time commitment – 6 hours/week

Description: We are seeking a compassionate and organized Parent/Guardian Liaison Volunteer to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for parents and guardians, ensuring effective communication and support regarding their children’s participation in STEM Canada’s programs. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a dedication to fostering positive relationships, and the ability to address concerns and provide valuable information to families.

Key Responsibilities:
•	Serve as the main contact for parents and guardians, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and feedback regarding STEM Canada’s programs and initiatives. Provide clear and timely information on program details, schedules, and any changes.
•	Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular updates, newsletters, and virtual meetings. Encourage active participation and engagement in STEM Canada’s activities and events.
•	Develop and share resources that help parents and guardians understand STEM Canada’s curriculum, goals, and opportunities. Offer guidance on how they can support their children’s STEM learning experience.
•	Identify and address any issues or concerns raised by parents and guardians. Collaborate with program coordinators and other staff to resolve concerns and ensure a positive experience for families.
•	Gather feedback from parents and guardians about their experiences and satisfaction with STEM Canada’s programs. Share this feedback with relevant teams to inform program improvements and adjustments.
•	Assist in organizing and facilitating parent and guardian workshops, webinars, and informational sessions. Ensure that events are well-coordinated and provide valuable content for families.
•	Keep accurate and up-to-date records of communications, feedback, and engagement activities. Ensure that all documentation is organized and accessible.
•	Stay updated on STEM Canada’s programs, policies, and initiatives to provide accurate and relevant information to parents and guardians.

Requirements:
•	Demonstrated experience in a communication, support, or liaison role, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices.
•	Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders.
•	Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and manage communications effectively.
•	Passion for STEM education and a commitment to supporting STEM Canada’s mission through effective parent and guardian engagement.
•	Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required. Familiarity with communication tools and platforms (e.g., Zoom, email marketing) is a plus.
•	Ability to engage with a diverse global audience and work within a multicultural environment.
