Partnership Development Coordinator (volunteer)

STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

Location: Remote
Time commitment – 6 hours/week 

Description: We are looking for a proactive and strategic Partnership Development Coordinator Volunteer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing partnerships with organizations, businesses, and institutions that align with STEM Canada’s mission. This position requires strong networking skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for building relationships that support STEM Canada’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:
•	Create and implement strategies for identifying and cultivating potential partnerships with organizations, businesses, and educational institutions that align with STEM Canada’s mission and objectives.
•	Research and identify potential partners who can provide support through sponsorships, collaborations, or in-kind contributions. Assess their alignment with STEM Canada’s goals and develop tailored proposals for engagement.
•	Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, community organizations, and educational institutions. Act as the primary point of contact for partnership inquiries and communications.
•	Develop partnership proposals and negotiate terms and agreements with potential partners. Ensure that partnerships are formalized through contracts or agreements that clearly outline the roles, responsibilities, and benefits for both partie.
•	Work closely with partners to plan and execute collaborative activities, such as joint events, sponsorships, and program initiatives. Ensure that all partnership activities are effectively managed and aligned with STEM Canada’s goals.
•	Track and evaluate the performance and impact of partnerships. Gather feedback from partners and assess the effectiveness of collaborative efforts. Use this information to refine partnership strategies and improve engagement.
•	Maintain accurate records of partnership activities, agreements, and outcomes. Prepare regular reports on partnership performance and provide updates to STEM Canada’s leadership team.
•	Represent STEM Canada at networking events, conferences, and meetings. Advocate for STEM Canada’s mission and goals to potential partners and stakeholders.

Requirements:
•	Proven experience in partnership development, business development, or a related field, with a strong understanding of partnership management and relationship building.
•	Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective partnership strategies.
•	Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
•	Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to create compelling proposals and effectively present information to potential partners.
•	Passion for STEM education and a commitment to supporting STEM Canada’s mission through effective partnership development.
•	Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required. Familiarity with CRM software and partnership management tools is a plus.
•	Ability to engage with a diverse global audience and work within a multicultural environment
