Public Relations Coordinator (volunteer)

STEM Montessori Academy of Canada (SMAC-SIAC) is a registered not-for-profit organization specializing in science, technology, engineering, and math. (STEM) programming is open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The SMAC will specialize in an advanced bar-none. STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)

We are expanding our programming to industry-specific, hands-on experiences. We require a Public Relations Coordinator volunteer to help us keep the momentum going in support of the growth and development of these programs. We ask you to join us in continuing to serve the youth in our community.

Location: Remote 
Time commitment: 6 hours a week

Responsibilities:
•	Create and manage engaging content for various platforms, including social media, websites, newsletters, and blogs.
•	Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists.
•	Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials.
•	Assist in planning and promoting events, workshops, and programs.

Qualifications:
•	Strong communication skills Both written and verbal.
•	Interpersonal skills
•	Developing engaging content and campaigns.
•	Proficiency in using social media platforms, PR tools, and software (e.g.Canva, or similar).
