About Us: Autism Today Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and their families through education, awareness, and community-building. As we expand our digital presence, we're looking for a tech-savvy and detail-oriented WordPress Assistant to help us maintain and improve our website. Position Overview: As our WordPress Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our online platform by helping to update content, maintain site functionality, and ensure an accessible, user-friendly experience. You’ll work closely with our digital, content, and communications teams to ensure our website stays current, visually engaging, and aligned with our mission. Key Responsibilities: Update and manage website content (text, images, videos, blog posts, etc.) Assist in maintaining WordPress themes, plugins, and overall site functionality Collaborate with the communications team to ensure timely updates and new page creations Troubleshoot minor technical issues and escalate complex problems as needed Ensure the website is mobile-friendly and optimized for speed and SEO Maintain consistency in design, formatting, and brand guidelines across all pages What We’re Looking For: Basic experience with WordPress (especially the Gutenberg editor or Elementor) Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus (but not required) Strong attention to detail and a good eye for layout/design Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision Enthusiastic about accessibility, clean design, and website usability A passion for meaningful work and supporting the autism community What You'll Gain: Hands-on experience working with a nonprofit digital team Skill development in WordPress, SEO, and web management Flexible, remote schedule A chance to make a real difference in a growing, supportive organization
