About the Role

We are currently seeking a junior UX Researcher who has the passion in learning and understanding users’ experiences around community forums. The core community forum the candidate would focus on is IterateUX Discord server. The individual would be responsible for conducting user research interviews and usability tests. The candidate must be located in North America.

Responsibilities

Team Collaboration: Collaborating with the manager and another junior UX Researcher to conduct user interviews and usability tests
Conduct interviews: Available and willing to conduct user interviews with members of the IterateUX Discord community
Assist in Synthesis: Conduct data synthesis on the qualitative data from surveys and interviews
Conduct Usability Tests: Available and willing to conduct usability tests on participants
Present: Presenting the insights from the user interviews and usability tests

Experience Skills

Must have at least 1 year of UX Research experience of work or academics like student work
Strong writing skills. Writing reports on the results from user interviews and usability tests. Discord manager will read through portfolio projects on the UX Research writing
Strong communication skills: Must communicate on-time updates on the UX Research activities
Excellent public speaking skills: You need to present your user interview and usability test findings towards the Discord manager and a few occasions towards the team. Comfortable in conducting user interviews and usability tests with participants

Nice To Have

Experience using Miro and Figma
1 year experience using Discord
Degree on UX Design
Conducted UX Research on AI like Chat GPT, Gemini, Meta AI
Quantitative research experience
Data Analytics experience

Requirements for Volunteers:

Collaborate with your team
Minimum of 3 months commitment
Commit 8-10 hours per week
